Back in 2005 or so, I was playing Sonic Adventure 2 on Gamecube and after beating a level and returning to the level select, I suddenly had A rank on every mission of every level, and Green Hill Zone was unlocked too. Like the game just bugged out and turned my save file 100% somehow.

Has this happened to anyone else or did a cosmic ray cause a bit flip in my Gamecube?

Does anyone find picrel to be really boring? The gameplay loop feels overly simple and basic and it truly feels like a game made for babies. The atmosphere feels really uninspired, like they went

and they put that in the game for their enemies. No real art direction at all.

Does anyone think that sonic adventure 2 was the last great sonic game

Sonic Adventure 2 was Sonic's swan song and anyone who disagrees is a dirty philistine.

Shit on Sonic all you want but Sonic Adventure 2 featured the most hype final boss battle in all of video ganes and still has yet to be topped 21 years later

I can’t for the life of me get any Sonic Adventure 2 CDIs to work on my burned discs. Every other CDI works flawlessly. I’m using Imgburn and i’ve tried various write speeds with various CDI sources, but this game just won’t fucking work. Anyone have any idea? I have a PAL version 0 so I don’t have the option to use GDEMU.

imo if people are still getting into arguments over it 20 years later, then that probably suggests that it's a good game

Okay, i'm gonna fucking review fucking Sonic Adventure 2 and let's start with the most important aspect, the Character Design. The Character Design is fucking shit! I mean you got the green eyed Hentai Sonic with the fucking quills that people love to shove up their fucking asses, I mean it's fucking gay as fucking fuck!

Now let's get to the Story. The Story is a fucking Dragon Ball Z ripoff, because you got Shadow, the emo fuck, who is a ripoff of Vegeta, I mean, what the fuck!? We also get introduced to Rouge, the slut, who has some fucking stupid interactions with Nigger Knuckles!

Now let's get to the Gameplay. The Gameplay is also fucking stupid, because the Controls are fucking uncontrollable! I can't fucking know where i'm going when i'm playing as Green Eyed Hentai Quilled Sonic and the Emo Fucking fag Shadow! There's also stupid Shooting Stages with Tails and Dr. Eggman, who should be named Robotnik, not fucking Eggman! Then there's the fucking Treasure fucking hunting stages with fucking Nigger Knuckles, who is a dreadlock fucking idiot and Rouge, the fucking slut who needs to go die! I don't want to fucking treasure hunt in a fucking Sonic game! I just want to play as Sonic, earn my momentum, jump on Badniks, and that's it! None of these stupid fucking characters, just Sonic and Dr. Robotnik! Those should be the only fucking characters in a fucking Sonic game!

I'm giving this game a negative 1,000,000,000 out of 10! This game is a fucking stupid game!

Most of us seem to agree that the Dreamcast was the last true “retro” console. Pic related was also the last major game released on the system. Therefore, it can be argued that SA2 marked the end of the classic era of gaming.

This makes the ending of the game all the more somber for me. Since Shadow came back (dumb decision btw) I associate the music that plays during the credits not with his death, but the death of the Golden Age of gaming. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Honestly, Sonic Adventure 2. Score attack platforming, shooting, and hide-and-seek all in one. I still love that piece of shit.

This was the peak of the Sonic series and it all went downhill from here.
