SMW is one of my favorite games, as for art styles, I like a lot of different kinds... I can enjoy bright and simple ones like this SMW art (I love how defined and thick the lines are drawn, and the colors used too), but I also enjoy other styles such as Castlevania or Panzer Dragoon.
One of my favorites is Seiken Densetsu/mana series art, the artist who did those (who unfortunately passed away recently) can do some pretty magical and otherworldly stuff.
