>Don't say I didn't warn you though; It is REALLY shitty looking.

That's okay; I doubt I could make anything much better. (I have no soldering skills; still have pieces of my Sega Saturn hanging around because of all my failed attempts to mod it)

>Thanks for the link

No problem, hope you can find something that serves your needs (using a degassing wand, seems to be a bit more difficult than using a coil for some reason. It definitely took me quite a few tries to figure out the movements... Sometimes you just need a hold still (I did a lot of pointing)

>I seem to be the only one to think about getting a degaussing coil of some sort to try and solve it.

Sounds typical, most people can't be bothered to learn how to maintain the items they use. See this all the time. I bet most of them didn't even know what you were talking about. People always expect technology just to "work" a gamer should know, everything is kind of fiddly.

>Nothing from RadioShack is a few cents.

Sorry I haven't been inside RadioShack for a few years, they probably don't even sell radios! (Or any kind of circuitry for that matter)

On the topic of the stripper I found a few build it yourself links. Estimation seems to be around five dollars for making the stripper. (Does that sound right to you?)

Any of that seem helpful?
