A couple months ago my gf stayed home, she insisted I showed her my videogames, so I picked up my n64 flashcart, and played some NES games with her. Penguin monogatari, Kirby, Chip n Dale. She had lots of fun, laughed a lot and it was really cute. When she was about to leave, I went to the 64 library and started the Evangelion game.

She got extremely hype, kept saying I must play this, next week, next week. I'll come back and we need to play this.

She never came back. A week after this, she left me. It spoiled the n64 for me too.

F-Zero X

When I get to be with friends and play some 4 multiplayer, like Mario Tennis, Pokemon Stadium, Super Bomberman series, Famicom Wars, this can cheer me up from almost anything.

I've read stuff that the quality of 2000's models had lowered, but on the other hand you can be sure it won't be in bad shape, at least compared to early 90's ones

The only way to play it in english is on an Everdrive.

I only played the sequel on N64 and it has become maybe one of my favorite 5th gen games of all time.

Great premise, fun, engaging simulation gameplay, amazing 2D visuals and animations, good voice acting. Really quality title, I was surprised I didn't know about it sooner (only played it last year).

I have yet to play the first one for SFC, although I'll be honest, I'd rather raise a cute robo girl than Pinocchio, but I'm sure it's still fun if it's from the same devs.

Recommended for Princess Maker fans.

how much does an everdrive cost?

I'd say being able to play games like Sin and Punishment, Bangai-O, Wonder Project J2 (with the fan translation) or Goemon's Great Adventure would make it a worth investment, especially given how shit N64 emulation is, and how expensive or hard to come by those games can get.

N64 was capable of good 2D, and games like MK Trilogy and KI Gold are, essentially, 2D fighting games, although they don't have SF-style sprites.
I assume it could be at least as good or maybe even better than the PS1 version, but probably not as good as the Saturn version that uses the 4 RAM cart.

You got to the end? I've read it crashes right at the end so I'm trying to avoid such disappointment.
I'm eventually buying an Everdrive anyway, but I want to confirm if it can run the translated rom no problem.

Wonder Project J2 is fun.
