things sa1 does better:
-hub worlds
-emerald radar can see all 3 emeralds
-chao get insane speed

things sa2 does better:
-literally everything else

honestly at the end of the day I like sa1 better but that's purely nostalgia. it really does feel like a tech demo now with sonic's stages being auto-pilot and everyone else's being an afterthought. gotta appreciate how they made sa2 stages with score in mind. it added so much more to the game.

there was some drama over the sa1 art and yes people did freak out about green eyes, but thankfully the in-game model wasn't as extreme as the art. really it was just a slightly taller classic sonic with green eyes and longer quills.

sa2 is the one that started the weird lean model and got rid of the fat tummy, and became the modern sonic we know now.
