My brother gave me this Genesis+CD a while back, it came with a Konami Justifier, some racing game for the CD, and a power supply in the CD which I'm now only learning wasn't the right power supply(Full disclosure, this supposedly came out of a crackhead's house).

I now just got all the necessary cables, or so I thought.

I plugged it all in, and only the 3 lights for the Genesis came on, so I know it's working fine. The Access light for the CD however, did not, despite the fact it has a game in the tray and the Genesis does not. I learned today that the power supply that the previous crackhead owner plugged into the CD was in fact,t incorrect, so I ordered a new power supply, much to my chagrin. Please forgive me, I was a SNES/N64 kid growing up, I don't know about Genesis and it's blast processing or whatever.

Is it possible that I may have blown a fuse by trying to turn it on with the wrong power cable?

Also what's the best way to clean this thing up? The previous crackhead owner did a poor job of taking care of it. Air duster seems to be ineffective at the moment.
