Yeah but if you modify them then someone has to download that.
Its a distribution problem.
> yes because the original hud
Thats not the problem.
The issue is that if you have something both inherit and replace an existing actor, anything that depended on that actor is supposed to reference what replaced it.
ANYTHING
In this particular case, the status bar does not. It still reads data from the stock ammo type instead of what inherited and replaced it. If I do:
"Actor 762clip : clip replaces clip"

then the statusbar damn well should be reading data from 762clip, just like everything else would regarding the item number for the map placement.
But, for whatever reason, in this particular case it does not.
And this was a deliberate decision.
So they only way to alter the data for "clip" or "cells" or "rocketammo" and have the INTENDED proper effect is to use Dehacked.
Even in current year 2019

If you CNC scaled up a Beretta from 9mm to something larger you would have to alter the handgrip proportions to accept an out of proportion longer bullet.
Overall OAL length would have to stick to 36mm at most because thats what the 5.7x28 has and above that it starts getting to be a bear to hold a pistol. Keep in mind the Beretta is a full width double stacking gun, the FiveSeven is double stack but it isnt full width since the inside of the magazine is barely half an inch.
> All Magnum Cartridges have an OAL of about 40mm or even 50mm if you count the Casull.
But like you said anything in the normal case length of 20-25mm just doesnt have enough power. I would've suggested the 10mm Auto but it doesnt have enough firepower either and they'd want heavy bullets (like 300 grain) to penetrate deep into demon muscle tissue.

Nobody has done this or made this jump before because anything magnum related usually just gets put into a revolver, or goes into a custom fudd gun like the desert eagle
> Doom64's pistol was in fact a desert eagle
> Putting .44 magnum in a belt feed for the Chaingun sounds neat but you'd need a pulling action like the russian 7.62x54 machineguns use since you couldnt push the bullet through the belt.

So thats why I say "Shortened .50 AE" since its an auto cartridge and its shorter than a magnum but only just enough to make it manageable. If you wanted to put it in a M1911 you'd have to scale the whole thing up, and why do that when you can just scale up a Beretta including all the internal parts.
> "Its like the beretta you trained with in basic, except literally our gun dude scaled everything up in the cad program, like even the springs and trigger and sear parts"
By then they'd have CNC machines that could print hardened tool steel not just potmetal.

One thing I forgot to mention is DOTB seems to be built with either jumping or no jumping to be supported equally. Which is good because a mapset like that I am definitely turning on Jumping. Im happy that this doesnt break the flow of gameplay but at the same time there's no place where turning off jumping will prevent you from progressing.
