in three different CRT TVs and one flat panel that I've tried my toaster NES on, the colors were consistent on all but one of the CRTs and that was an ancient set from the 70s. that set seemed to want to display yellow rather than green which made the NES palette look way off. for example this dungeon was more of a golden color on that TV. cyan (eg. in the SMB underworld levels) was mostly blue and had a much reduced green component in it.
