I would say that’s the real reason to own one. That’s not to knock the games that came out for the system, but it was too expensive to build the kind of market it really deserved. It’s great for retro content production, though.

Thousands of Amiga VideoToaster packages were sold. There must still be hundreds of them around somewhere. Why is no one in retro community using them for video switching in streaming, when the affordable media is finally available?

The Amiga was a home computer for creative professionals, enabling digital illustration, 3D rendering, music compositing and desktop video at a fraction of the cost of other equipment. Whoever uses such a machine to play games is beyond help. That's what consoles are for.
