The NES Contra was a more fleshed out experience. The Arcade Contra is too short (like only three stages long) and can be cleared in around ten minutes (give or take), the bosses were underwhelming (I'll take the alien statue from the NES version over another sensor) and having Rapid Bullets and Barrier show up only when you have the peashooter is bullshit.

Super Contra is GOAT though.
