All good my friend; the linked PDF shows a lot closer parity between the basic N8 and the PowerPak then I initially thought. The N8 Pro is rather new, but it's really powerful.

Of course, you have to simulate those mapper chips somehow. I was just pointing something out because you made FPGAs sound like some kind of boogy-man —I mean you still need something to fake that RGB color palette :^)

Shoehorning emulator palettes into your vintage hardware is settling, hombre. If you're primary aspiration is to have an 'accurate' palette, and you're for some reason not using composite, you're really doing it wrong.

I know, I just want to know if there's a common palette file for emulators or whatever that's based on the PC-10 palette. The PC-10 palette is the only 'accurate' RGB palette (well also the Shard Titler but whatever.) There's all sorts of fake RGB palettes for the NESRGB etc, and that bothers the shit out of me. Pic related, PC-10 cabinet at a local arcade.

Actual PC-10 cabinet for reference, more blue. Famicom/NES is more purple over composite, even on a good CRT.

Considering the NES/Famicom was designed from the ground up for composite only, you're literally wrong, unless you have a Playchoice-10 lying around. Sticking an small computer inside your NES to pretend to be the PPU and generate inaccurate RGB is about as authentic as emulating.
