/vr/ - Retro Games

I was on the road this week and stopped by a mom and pop shop that was highly rated on Google. Nothing retro was priced. They had a PS1 game I was interested in, and I asked how much they were asking. The guy had to get it out of the display case, go through it to see if it was CIB and evaluate it's condition, then he looked on his phone before he told me $200. It was the most bizarre thing I had ever seen. I'm assuming he was checking eBay prices or that price chart website or whatever, but what a bizarre way to conduct business.

I took some other PS1 games up to the register to check out and the employee had to call the guy back out to get prices on them. Again, he went through them one by one and had to scroll through his phone to give me a price. Will never go back.
