It's atrocious. I've never heard people bring up legitimate arguments to defend it, I mean the second post of this thread had "zoomer" and "filtered" in it, as if there aren't numerous far better Famicom RPGs. Pretty sad really.
Only the setting and music are good, there isn't even any feeling of being on a cool adventure unless you're larping at single digit age. 90% of the game is grinding and item management, the characters and story are a fuckload of nothing, the overworld is shit and empty, the dungeons are shocking and the final area of the game was not even playtested. If you want pure RPG gameplay play DQ3 or 4 instead.

Cool NES RPG but Duncan factory can eat my ass, they went overboard, definitely. Fuck playing that dungeon without a map.
