Find a DIY on building a fish tank stand. Use that as a way to hold it. I use a few CRT around, and the ways I hold them up are unreasonable for most people. My current samsung 20" is sitting on a stand that weighs more than it does. 8" c-channel 8" long with a piece of plate welded in between. I made it at work to hold a GDM-fw900. It holds the samsung perfectly. Systems sit under it.

However, you need a stable desk for a CRT.

Pic related is a design I have used for diy "flat" surfaces. It is very easy to make it level and flat, and recently I built one 36" x 24" on the flat top and 39" to the top from the floor. It was built with 2x6, and is totally unnecessary for anything supporting a simple TV.

This design could use 2x3 boards easily for your CRT and all of your systems. Put supports every 2-3 feet depending on your weight. 120lbs is not all that much for a 2x3
