Der Langrisser is easier, has worse graphics, and worse music than 2.

On the positive side, it doesn't have the absolutely awful voice samples from 2, Der Langrisser has new NPCs, and new story routes.

If you're playing the main story route, 2 is a way better game, better balance, better graphics, better music. But if you want more Langrisser, the SFC version comes into play because it has more content.
