I really wonder how the YouTuber version of /vr/ history distorts and omits parts of the experience of growing up with these games. How much of what they talk about is received knowledge that’s gone through a decades-long game of telephone? How many notable games get passed over or forgotten? It seems like games with links to franchises or companies still in existence get preferential treatment.
