I can give you a number of reasons why this machine is fake.

1. No power cords. He never turns it on.

2. The controllers would not say "Sony" as they were still being made by Nintendo.

3. The system was an add on, not a stand alone piece of hardware.

4. The owner claims 200 or so were made. This is an outright lie.

5. The prototypes were only made in Japan.

6. The body is clearly made of a mixture of resin cast plastic and 3D printed parts. Yellowing would have occured on authentic parts by now.

7. It looks nothing like the actual prototypes.

8. It wasn't called the "Sony SNES CD." It was simply refered to as the Super CD or Nintendo Pla-Station (No letter Y)
