Are they the ones who first used this isometric style (I think they had a name for their engine, Filmation maybe?) on Spectrum that several of their games and many imitators also used? It is probably one of the most striking perspectives used in Spectrum games, it works well for the hardware.

Sorry lads, I posted the OI ME SPECCY thread >>6873485 and the ZX SPECTRUM WAS BETTER THAN NES >>6889261 thread from a couple days ago, both of which got almost 300 replies. Haven't been on the board in a day or so and I get on tonight and see there are tons more Spectrum shitpost threads now, none of which are by me. I honestly find it pretty funny but I apologize for inspiring inferior shitposters

The ZX Spectrum was objectively better than the NES. True the NES could display more colors and had better sound, but it had a very modestly signed library with only a handful of really stand out games as opposed to the thousands of titles on the Spectrum, many AAA+ quality.

The Spectrum also had tons more Arcade accurate ports. The NES got weird butchered versions of the games like Bionic Commando or Double Dragon. The Spectrum got 100% faithful arcade ports, albeit within hardware limitations.

Home computers wiped the fucking floor with the NES in the UK. You could get great games for 2 quid and even the AAA titles were rarely more than 10. 50 for ONE NES game? Yeah miss with with that.

tl;dr the ZX Spectrum was better than NES, its mostly angry burgers who meme about it being so bad
