I think I might get the JXD S7300. It's a cheaper version of the S7800. Runs N64 good and its 100 dollars cheaper. My only concern really is durability. The windows 8 tablet suggestion will be too expensive. With the money I would spend on a windows 8 tablet, I could buy an Nvidia Shield.

originally I bought a JXD tablet like pic related to play games on, but it had a lot of issues and wasn't really worth the trouble, and now it's broken so I need a new tablet anyway.

what are the best tablets for retro gaming?
basically the ones that have bluetooth support built in so I can use a bluetooth controller on it, a nice screen, and really good hardware inside. thanks /vr/

I understand that this isn't exactly the board for this, but I know many of you have a JXD tablet or know stuff about custom firmware and all that jazz, so I'm asking it here.

Recently my tablet has started having problems. Every time I shut it off, it completely resets itself. Like, wipes all the internal memory, acts like I just barely installed the CFW, and as you may be able to guess, this makes it difficult to effectively use my tablet.

So, can anyone help with this? The CFW I'm currently using is NCCE. Should I even bother trying to fix this? Or does it just sound like my tablet is defective? Will this problem keep happening even if I take steps to fix it this time? I don't feel like losing my game data every single time my stupid tablet feels like crapping out on me.

> PSP is leagues better for portable emulation

Well that's not completely accurate, the software for android emulation is generally way better than the software for PSP emulation. But of course, PSP has real buttons that don't need connection via bluetooth, which is great unless you have an Xperia Play or other controller built android devices.

alright, /g/ doesn't seem to want to answer my question, and i know several people here own jxd 7300 tablets, so i'm going to ask this here, as it's a nice retro gaming device, even if the question isn't exactly about retro games.

is there a way to make the bluetooth function actually work? every time i click it to try and turn it on it doesn't respond.

i'm using ncce custom firmware.

I use an S7300, pretty decent, but if you're looking for something to fit in a pocket look elsewhere. It's actually just an android tablet with buttons.

iControlPads and associated controllers are great for phones, I'd sell you mine but I'm a little too lazy for that.

PSP would be great if you don't mind N64 and SNES emulation being bad.

so this thing got here WAY faster than i thought it would. only took about 4 days. anyway, i'm running the setup now, and it gives me a bunch of emulator options...

but which are the best emulators for this thing? just tell me every single on you use, people who use this tablet. thanks.

and maybe tell me what to expect from this tablet?

are the jxd s7300's specs up to snuff for running ps2 and gamecube games, when we finally get reliable emulation for those systems?

sup /vr/

so my boyfriend and i have an ipad2 that we managed to get as a gift, and it's a nifty enough machine, we've gotten over a year of use out of it and we'd be able to sell is for a nice chunk of cash. we are thinking of buying this much cheaper tablet to replace it, so we still have a tablet, and also the added bonus of all that emulation. i know at least one regular on this board bought one recently and has been very pleased with it, and if he sees this post, please feel free to come and help me out with this.

anyway, my main questions are these.

is this the best dual analog stick emulation machine that such an inexpensive price can get? (150)

how easy is it to install the proper cfw on it, because i know that the stock fw is shit?

and how well does it do normal tablet things? specifically wi-fi internet browsing, netflix, and email?

thanks for your time.

Delicious JXD S7300 here, I love it.

Pretty affordable, especially since I wanted an android tablet anyways. If anybody has any questions about it I'll answer them.

It's not so bad if you're a fan of RPGs, and you can buy snap on controllers for some nice real buttons if you think you'll use them a lot.

I got this, doubles as an Android tablet and sweet emulation relaxation device.
