Here's one with some DOS games, but is pretty incomplete in my opinion. Honestly I think we should use this thread to make a new chart or two

Sorry to barge in on all the Yoshi's Island threads, but I had a question about an old computer game that I can't remember the name of.

It's a black and white fantasy game, with an interesting minimalist style. The view is straight on like a "fourth wall" camera with various warriors in the foreground and mountains and landscape in the background. The graphics are CGA or may be early EGA era, but monochrome. I have no idea what the gameplay was like; my main memory is of the side on view with the mountains in the background and the interesting B&W art style.

Hopefully this worthless description will spark a memory for someone.

>Dosbox still confuses me and I'm pretty dumb
You have two options:
1. get the GOG.com versions, they come with preinstalled and pre-setup Dosbox and are basically click and go, as idiot-proof as they come
2a. get a DOSbox frontend like DFend, it'll take care of all the commandline options and let you make profiles for games so you can just run them from the list. Could be tricky if the defaults aren't configured properly in the first place, though.
2b. Pirate a collection of games with a frontend already preinstalled.

As for recommended stuff, pic related (someone link the other one with floppy disks), or the wiki:

Sorry, but seeing this list flared up my autism.
>Ultima 8
I thought everyone hated this one, along with 9.
>Eye of the Beholder Trilogy
I thought everyone hated 3.
>Descent, Wing Commander: Privateer
Neither top-down nor sidescrolling.
>Z
The Bitmap Brothers wasn't the subtitle of the game, it's the name of the devs.

What's with the blatant misinformation, /vr/?

So I'm going to start indexing every msdos game, downloading them, and testing them, then putting them all in a torrent for you all. This will take some time, since I'm testing all of them on 2 systems, and single handly downloading and indexing without scripts.

this isn't in 70 to early 90's pc general because mid - late 90's dos games.
