Agreed, they shouldn't have made the story mode be only 6 levels. People ended up thinking the game really only had 6 levels instead of the 24 levels you can unlock.
The actual fun in playing Yoshi's Story is playing trial mode, not story mode... story mode is just there to unlock levels and find the black and white yoshies.

Yeah Yoshi's Island is the best Yoshi game, but Yoshi's Story gets so much unfair shit just for not being like YI. It's meant to be a different kind of game... we had a thread about it some weeks ago, it was good... many of us agreed the game is actually pretty good, but you must play the trial mode and unlock all 24 or so levels in order to actually be able to judge the game.
Playing the story mode (which only serves as a kind of "choose your own adventure" with only 6 levels in total... 6 levels, out of 24! which you unlock by playing the story mode).
And also the game has a lot more exploration and collectathon nature, much more prominent than in YI.
