Quake's grenade launcher is among the funnest weapons to use of all time. The arching trajectory and slow-moving projectile means it's very difficult to land shots at first, but it makes it that much more satisfying to score hits, and the very high damage output makes it worth it. More importantly, because the projectile moves slower than a rocket, you get more time to move out of the way so you can use the grenade launcher at closer ranges than the rockets, you can bounce shots around corners, and the grenade launcher fires faster so it does more damage assuming your shots hit.
