As for violence, what the fuck are you talking about? There's a fucking ton of violent games now, why would that have changed? Far Cry 3, came out just last year, there's lots of violence there, one of the segments have you crawl out from the bottom of a mass grave, in first person, with dead bodies covered in blood weighing down on you.
The Fallout games from just the last couple of years were chock full of gratuitous violence, involuntary amputations, drug abuse, prostitution, allusion to rape, etc.
Rage includes lots and lots of violence, blood and dead bodies, you can cut off enemies heads with metal blades, the enemies swear like sailors.


Because it's fucking Doom, there's going to be dead bodies everywhere, large pools of blood gathered from the dead, heads on pikes, dead bodies hanging from the ceiling. Why do you think they'll fucking censor themselves now, when they haven't before?
