Help me out here, lads. tax return season is right around the corner and I am planning to "rebuild my childhood". That basically involves buying a mini CRT like I had, a SNES and N64, and a bunch of games for them. Thing is, I'm a bit demoralized from the fact that many people say these consoles are beginning to rot after 20 years, their processors are dying, their CPUs are going bad, etc. How can I justify rebuilding my collection if the shit I buy may have the high chance of just dying soon? Repairs aren't cheap.
