It would inevitably still fail to make a foothold against the GBC for the same reasons the GG did. Too big, too expensive, terrible battery life, and a kneecapped game library because publishers and developers aren't going to drop support for the cheaper handheld that already outdid your previous outing's install base by a country mile. Even worse it would be competing with the already established WonderSwan and NeoGeo Pocket as well.
