I've always thought this game was boring. I prefer 5 and 6.

FF 5 had great gameplay, FF6 had a cool plot.

As I get older I've grown to appreciate the themes in FF7, though.

>man I hated this puzzle because I could figure it out despite the way to solve it is incredibly simple. I mean, there are literally only 7 inputs on the controller and I couldn't figure it out
>that must mean it's bad
>because I couldn't figure it out
>despite the solution being simple

Nintendo has always hired frauds to make their games.

SEGA would never have let this fly.

I think they're pretty good in terms of handheld game standards of the time. one of my main gripes is the fact that they had to slow down Sonic's speed quite a bit to make up for the screen crunch, and of course the inevitable screen crunch as well. On a brighter note, the Game Gear version of Sonic 1 has one of the most underappreciated and overlooked soundtracks in game history.

I love the atmosphere in Sonic Adventure. Is it the best game? No.
But the soundtrack is wonderful, and most of the level are fun.
I don't know about you guys, but I also had a blast glitching into places I wasn't supposed to (Knuckles inside Twinkle Park in particular.)

So everyone online used to be jealous that I was dating a virgin schoolgirl that was 19, but she dumped me years ago. Now, the only thing close to being as hott is this Nikki girl from california, because she's a virgin that's never even masturbated before, and she keeps asking me to make her feel good sexually, its pretty hott to me..

But, there's all kinds of sucky stuff, too. After I bought her the Wii U, she had the nerve of drawing her and her boyfriend together on Miiverse with stars and hearts and stuff. She kept tricking me into buying games. She said if her boyfriend got her the game instead of me, she'd bond with him more and therefore it would be harder for her to break up with him.

I once told her, and I used facebook messages search to see, I told her 9 times that I would be in debt for the 3rd month in a row and owe money if I bought her Cave Story for 3DS, and as a joke I said "Okay, you can, but I'll be in debt for like 300 dollars and [all of these negative effects it would have on me]" and she never said a word back, but I found out later that she used my credit card info that I gave her before when I let her buy Cave Story digitally, and I got in debt again. And there's more complaints, too, but whatever..

So that sucks, but I don't wanna date some Non-Virgin girl that's around here. I'm a virgin (not to buttsex though but ay,) I live in the most boring place with barely anyone with the same interests as me around. The choice is to either follow along with this cute virgin Nikki Renee Smith girl that never masturbated before, that wants to do sexual things with me; or date some fatass ugly smelly local girl that has no similar interests to me that lives near me.

/vr/ love stories feel free to share

Say, I wonder why we don't see Mario fans discussing the names of Mario levels?

Oh right, it's because they can't. Mario levels don't have names; they have numbers. Lol. I hope they enjoy their ...er, math, then... I can just imagine them arguing about what comes next after 1-1: 1-2 or something else???

It's on phones and Steam now, gramps. Everyone who will ever play it has already played it to death.

It's good shit, and not because it's some mysterious game that only rich people with home computers and Sega CD's can play and have hyped as the greatest game ever made, knowing that plebs cannot play it and therefore argue against it. The days of that defense are long dead.

It is the best 16-bit Sonic game as far as I'm concerned. For completely different reasons from Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles as to why it's a good game. It borrows most heavily from the Sonic 1 school of design, which I appreciate since Sonic 1 had always remained my favorite before I played Sonic CD.

It tends to be that those rare few who preferred Sonic 1 tend to prefer Sonic CD over the other sequels, while those who prefer Sonic 2 and/or Sonic 3 & Knuckles believe that Sonic 1 hasn't aged well and hate Sonic CD's level design. And you're not going to change either group's mind, no matter how much you wax philosophical or game design mantra.

They might as well be different franchises. You have different demographics. Like the cartoon series. My favorite was AoStH, because it was cute, funny, and didn't take itself too seriously at all. Satam was on the complete opposite spectrum, with darker themes and animation and a rather disturbingly passionate fanbase. Underground was somewhere in-between, and X is new Sonic. All of these things have massively different appeal, so it's no wonder it's all so divisive.

But the coolest people are the ones like myself who enjoy pretty much all of this stuff, 'cause it's all pretty fucking great.

After completed Sonic CD and Sonic 3 Complete one after the other, I noticed:
>in Sonic CD, the levels can be finished in 1 to 3 minutes, but you can always backtrack.
>in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the levels take way longer, but you can't backtrack that much. Say, if you missed a Special Stage ring, you may have to restart the level.
Now, my perfect Sonic game would be a game where the level are as long as Sonic 3, except no part are unreachable once you passed a point.
Do you think one game did it better than the other ?

That's pretty much the accepted response at this point, yes.
