Jesus, wasn't there anything else interesting to report in January 1997, besides a Saturn/PS1 port of a PC game released two years earlier? At first I thought it was some error, i.e. maybe they'd wanted to give us a sneak peek at MW3 (then already in development).
But after checking out the issue, I see that they actually dedicated their cover to a two page article on specs of game units in MW2, ffs.

All I wanna know if this thing is getting support for loading roms off the SD card, otherwise, it's almost worthless to me.

I know it supports flashcarts, but can the FPGA built in simulate the special chips these cars can't even run?

The lower price is nice and the case design is far superior to the ugly faux-Apple design of the NT Mini.
