Anytime someone makes something great & they're called to do it again it ends up being the worst shit imaginable.
Either the team they worked with deserves the real credit or maybe they're some sort of genius-crazy that only does good with limitations but unbound they're ideas turn out bad.

Perhaps not the best, but one of my favourite 8-bit art styles and colour palettes are the GBC Zelda games.

The GBC palette is so nice after the NES which has a largely mediocre palette, and a lot of devs had a hard-on for its ugly shades of brown for some reason.
