actually it looks more like the perfect controller for Q-bert.

Want something similar, available in PS2 and PS3/USB models? Get a NeoGeo Pad. If you shop around, they're not too expensive and microswitch trumbstick dpad is supposed to be damn good.

The face buttons are micro switches too. They tried to emulate the SNK Neogeo CD controller, but according to everything I've read failed because Pelican quality.

If you're interested in a micro switch thumpstick dpad, you should buy a Playstation SNK NeoGeo controller. SNK made them for PS2 and PS3. Here's a shot of the original NeoGeo CD controller and the PS2 controller. PS3 version looks the same, but uses USB without an adapter.
