There is definitely and demonstrably a market of Redditors who just blindly purchase products to then take a photo and share online to strangers (not even to their friends and family) that they, in fact, were able to "get theirs".
I honestly believe literally the only people to buy an RG Nano were the same fucking faggots who eagerly scalped and bought out the og Miyoo Mini because they were chasing the high they got from buying Nintendo Amiibo back in the day. Just wanting to own something because it was trending, not because they actually had any desire to actually use or enjoy the product as intended.
