The world itself and its inhabitants are stellar but the gameplay is clunky crap and the fights are way too easy. On the other hand NOT missing out something permanently by doing something completely generic, like walking into a house with the wrong NPC in tow, is fucking hard. And let's not even start with golem crafting and weapon forging, which requires a Ph.D.

There isn't really much of a story, but an explanation of a theme, and that too is well done. The Swedish OP song is pure cringe and why the fuck would you use a foreign song and not have it sung by Jadranka Stojakovic? She was still alive in 1999!

Grab a land placement guide off GameFAQs. I wouldn't bother with the details. You'll probably miss some stuff but who cares really? If you want to 100% it in one go (there is also NG+) you'll spend more time reading guides than playing.
