I was basically born as a Sonicfag, Sonic 2 was the first game I ever played and I naturally fell into being an enthusiast for the series. I became a Jaded Sonic Fan in 2007 after renting Sonic and the Secret Rings and have continued a grudging acceptance that I'll always keep coming back to Sonic even though I think the franchise is kind of retarded trash.
Anyway, I don't actually enjoy playing many of the Sonic games, no matter how many times I am compelled to revisit them. Sonic Adventure 2 can be kind of fun in an autistic speedrun kind of way, plus the Chao Garden in that game is a deeply engrossing side mode that I've clocked hundreds of hours in over the years. Sonic Generations is ok. I guess I can probably find moments of fun in most of the Sonic games that are considered good, for example I like being Super Sonic in Sonic 2. That's pretty neat. I don't really know why these games just don't click for me like they do for other people. I played a solid dozen hours of Sonic Mania and still walked out respecting it for being a classic Sonic game true to form than I did actually having had fun and wanting to revisit what I experienced. Maybe I'm just an autistic retard.

I like how Pokemania was so big that the Archie Sonic comics felt the need to comment on it
Just so you know real world pop culture references like this were pretty rare at this point in the comic's history so this is kind of a big deal, Pokemania was unavoidable.
