Ive never played a mod which only works with a certain version. Just get the newest stuff when it is needed.

>99% of demos that actually break intended limitations were recorded with compatibility with original exe's and don't use freelook/crouching/jumping at all.
Actually speedrunning is the thing that shows how to ignore intended level limitations.

On Doom-related note I have a question: What ports and how many of them do you have/use? I have like 7 ports: PrB+, (G)ZDoom GZDoom and ZDoom are separated though, Legacy, Skulltag'n'Zandronum, ZDaemon, Chocolate Doom and they all have their use. ZDaemon\Zandro for online play, PrB+ for demo recording and just to play levels/weapons that don't use ZDoom features, Legacy is for splitscreen multiplayer and ZDoom is for every ZDoom-only stuff. Chocolate Doom is used to check levels for VPO's and shit.
