Theres a switch on the adapter that has IN and OUT on it, I forget what it's set to so that the adapter sends the composite signal, but one day I managed to bend that switch slightly, and I got sound. However it's such a cheap adapter (i've seen nicer ones), i'd rather buy an actual scart cable.
