Gee Phil, why do Americans insist calling a console with MEGA DRIVE on the front a "Genesis"? Perhaps it's because when it was sold in the US, it was called the Sega Genesis?

I need your help locating a genesis game from the early 90s.

My memory is a bit hazy, but certain things stuck out; Like the music, it was twangy and metallic sounding, kinda rockin', too.

The graphics were a bit fuzzy, but they worked. You played a generic looking fighter.

I'm at my wits end here, help please!

Hi guys, is there any way to improve the sound quality of the Headphone jack on a Genesis 1?

I can hear noise when I plug my headphones.

The MD/Genesis wasn't "modified" for the US market. You're comparing the model 1 and the model 2.

Here's a US model 1.

I have a Genesis model 1 that works, but has a broken cart slot, and a not-working Genesis model 2 that doesn't turn on, but probably the cart slot is sane.

Is there a possibility to take out the cart slot of the model 2 and put it on the model 1?

Just got a Sega Genesis and I'm going to a game store in a few hours. What are some must have games for the system?

Thinking of getting into Sega Genesis collecting before the prices skyrocket on eBay. What's the best model of the system? I know there's a shitton of differences between them all in terms of AV quality, but I'm not sure which to get. Also, what about accessories like the Sega CD and 32X? Anything I should look out for in regards to them?

Never had a genesis as a kid. A guy is offering me this lot for $200. Should I take it?

Hey /vr/! I just found an old, pretty dirty genesis that I bought at a flea market years ago with the intent of cleaning up and never really did. What are some good games for the system? The only stuff that really comes to mind is Sonic, Ecco, and the rest of the games that end up on those Sega compilation discs for new consoles. What are the hidden gems of the system? Any cool JP only titles?

I got a Mega Everdrive arriving in the mail soon and I'm wondering what are some neat homebrews to try out on it. It can range from tech demos that show the full potential of the console to actual games like the Wolfenstein 3D one.

When I was growing up, my cousin had a Genesis while I had an SNES, and I didn't think much of it at the time (Mainly because he likes sports games over just about anything else). I've started to wonder what else the Genesis has on it though lately since I do remember playing a few great games on it (Megalomania, Columns, Road Rash), but what titles really stand out for the system? I wasn't a big fan of Sonic, but I'm sure there's other things that can't be found anywhere else.

Was Blast Processing a real thing or just a term made up by marketers?
