(continued)

There is also the Giant Diagona fight, which is easily the most unsettling part in the game, given the underwater environment, the need to occasionally re-emerge from the water for air, the mess of tentacles constantly trying to slam into you, and the fact that the Dianoga's only weakness, it's eye, looks very similar to its tentacles, and so must be hunted around for while trying to dodge its attacks.

The Gladiator is effectively the game's final boss, and while it's not quite as memorable as IG-88 or the Dianoga, it's a good fight if not for how it is effectively the climax for all ground battles in the game. It is very heavily armored in all its forms, and possesses some extreme firepower (I frequently got killed by its barrage of seekers and its tracking eye-laser). However, if you're smart, you can stockpile special weapons from throughout the game for this fight (the game is especially generous with the amount of seekers it gives you), and it's extremely satisfying launching a disruptor blast at its final form, and seeing the boss vaporized for good.

The game has a definite low-point, though, in the form of the Loader Droid bossfight, and arguably the entire Freighter level that it takes place in. The boss is just a borish circlestrafe match, as it has only a single attack (moving up close to the player, and then trying to launch its grapples at you), and so the entire battle will just involve constantly moving around the boss and jumping to avoid its attacks. It's a little frantic, but completely repetitive, and the fact that the entire level that preceded it was a massive corridor shooter does not help this fact at all.
