Is the AI in the thieves guild just completely busted or something? They act very strangely compared to other levels.

Playing thief gold for the first time. It's pretty amazing. I love the game cept one thing bothered me. Doing the haunted cathedral level. Says to stand on the thing in the middle and light the statue. I lit the statue before standing on the thing and nothing happened.

Wasted 20 mins running around and decided to look at a guide and it says a door opens lol. So I decided to try my last 2 water arrows to put it out and relight it while standing on the damn thing and it actually opened.

You really gotta follow it specifically eh
