Its more a visual novel thought , but it's a rare case, a Japanese PC game based heavily on traditional Japanese folklore that it's not about otaku-bait moe girls nor it contains mainstream animu style or lewds (itself a rare feat) and it was localized and released in North America.

It is also meme'd as the only video game Roger "video games are not art" Ebert reviewed and liked

Does anyone actually own a copy of this? I've never seen this for sale anywhere online nor have I seen a picture of a non-scanned box or disc.

What do I need to do in order to run this game?
I tried a lot but nothing seems to work. I tried it with dosbox and Linux. I was able to run the setup in Wine but when I actually try to play it it gets stuck and nothing happens.

Admittedly, not much of a game, more like a unique experience.
