I edited the assault rifle fire smoothly in full-auto, and then semi-auto when looking down the sight.
I also eventually gave it a 30 round magazine because I like laying down a swath of automatic fire into groups of enemies or particularly strong ones. It's not very tactical, but it's fucking Doom, shit flies. Also switched out the firing sound to something that sounds like the crack of an actual rifle. Graphics for it are great (though i guess the muzzleflash could be a little bit more dynamic)

I really like the shotgun though, realistic spread, so if you take aim at a guy across the yard, you can score the full pattern onto him 90% of the time, the reload is decent enough, I like that you pump the first shell into the chamber if the gun is empty, that's attention to detail. Also, my favorite bit is the sound of the shell bouncing on the floor and against walls, if you're wearing a good pair of headphones, it sounds so incredibly lifelike and good, it really feels like the brass and plastic is bouncing on the floor next to you.

Rifle and pump shotgun are my go-to guns most of the time.
Rocketlauncher is actually very unsatisfying and I dislike the spiral travel, makes it harder to aim, I just end up magdumping into crowds and windows, I never savor it.
