Yeah exactly.
People were confused a bit by the design of the field models but people with a glimmer of intelligence realized that the point the weird design was to enable expressive body language. The very beginning of the game shows Avalanche kicking guards to knock them down, Barrett motions to Cloud who does flip onto the platform.

Sheer volume of animated 3D characters had never been done like this before. All the random NPCs are animated and colorful. There are hours of cutscenes where these lego models perform. Any example you can find from another 1997 game is going to be inferior on these measures.

Mom used to tell me dad had dreams about FFVII while he was playing through it, he dreamt-up finding a way to beat Ruby Weapon and he got up in the middle of the night to do it which actually worked lol

>Trying to sell an emotional experience with expressionless character models was not a great idea.
They aren't expressionless character models. Indeed, the whole point of the silly, blocky-looking appearance is to make them as expressive as possible given low-poly constraints.

The FMVs and static backgrounds was the real focus of aesthetics spectacle.
The 3D sprites were always considered blocky. But smart people also realized they were designed that way on purpose for the sake of being expressive and vivid when working with a low poly count.

>Blocky models made and animated from simple primitives.
Which was a sensible choice for 5th gen consoles.

And then you beat him up, locked him in a closet, and he cried himself to sleep and woke up the next morning covered in semen right?

No. Aeris and Aerith are both technically wrong pronunciations, but it's just a name. A name on a character that you can rename in game, no less. Mispronouncing a name is a lot different from having sentences and paragraphs that mean completely different things from the original.

What was the point of the mouths if they don't even move? It just somehow makes the character models even goofier.

People say that Sephirot killed Aerith.
But wasn't it in fact a part of Jenova impersonating him, Jenova-Life, which you fight immediately after, that did it, while I'd agree that Sephirot was of the same mind on the question?
Sephirot himself is basically chilling out in the Northern crater for most of the game while you go around chasing around Jenova parts in Disk 1 and 2.
Am I correct?

This is sloppy and ugly as fuck so look up an FAQ. Chocobo breeding is nearly impossible without some type of guide.

>Abuse soft resets when breeding and make sure to use the button combination to rebuild your chocobo's stamina while boosting in a race (L1 + R1 + square, I think). Also feeding your chocobo the best greens will make them fast enough to just cruise through races.
>You can get Yuffie as soon as you're headed to Junon, and Vincent once you access the Shinra Mansion (in real time).
>The glowing, vine-covered spring at the bottom of the Northern Cave is the best place to grind near end game.
>The W-Item glitch is perfect for magic pots and also recommended for the battle arena, chocobo breeding, super bosses, etc.
>Limit breaks unlock in this order: Use the first one x number of times to get the second half, defeat a certain number of enemies to unlock the next tier. Final limit breaks are scattered through the game and most are worth grabbing.
>Don't bother grinding Aeris or going for her ultimate weapons/limit breaks. Trust me.

Most of all, have fun!
