Cheers dude.

>plays Master System games right out of the box and can play 32x games too but you need a 32x.

Fuuuck. I got a power base converter and sega CD but no 32x, I can't justify the stupid price they go for plus the extra adaptor slots and all that shit, finding those complete for under like $200 is difficult where I am which is a lot for a couple of 32x games. (especially since I bought the 3DS Space Harrier which was one of the 32x games I wanted)

Was there ever any function of having a game in the genesis slot and a sega cd game in? Or was that just for shit like the Pier Solar soundtrack thing retroactively/

Harvest moon WAS enjoyable, then it became very dull and the gameplay never really expanded, Rune Factory pretty much did everything Harvest Moon did, and made it better and built on it and added features.

River King would be good but the games themselves are not very well produced. If I wanted a fishing game I'd play Yuji Naka's Fishing Resort on the wii, which is actually a very solid fishing game. River King suffers from being a very early GB game, and the later installments are still very rudimentary and low quality. A new game that wasn't shit would be nice, the later installments are really shoddy.

Sims seems like a really weird godsim, Dungeon Keeper or Theme Park/Hospital I find much more enjoyable than picking wallpaper and herding cattle like you do in Sims.

But you've said you don't like River King, Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing so I don't have a lot else to recommend to you. Those are games I like, but obviously not for you.

I play the shit out of Rune Factory, Animal crossing just gets really borin, and I get that it's because you're only supposed to play a few minutes a day but if it was a little more in depth sure, it's one reason I'd kill for an English language copy of Boku no Natsuyasumi, which looks fantastic.

Yeah I've actually played A bunch of PM2, last I remember I think the english translation of 4 was actually near done I might check up on that again.

Got the first three on DS, rebought the 1st when it was remade for NA, it's a great series! I'd love more like it, honestly I'm not even huge on sports it just seems to be the only other genre that gets Action RPG encrusted Sim games. (There has to be a better genre title approximation than that!)

Got the N64 one, muddled through it in japanese, never got around to emulating it in english, thanks for the reminder!

Will be checking that out Anon, much appreciated!

Thanks guys, any more suggestions?

Every other day. My partner is hugen into gaming. We did an Ikaruga run the other day, but we mostly play arcade shit these days like Shadows of Mystara. It's hard to find any good co-op games with length and depth. Beat em ups don't really hold the attention after the fourth or fifth time you've beaten Turles in Time sadly. Metal Slug is a favourite, Gauntlet and Cannon Spike, Toejam and Earl since it's pretty much the ONLY co-op roguelike. And we play Mars Matrix She loves bomberman (the co op storyline 'super' games aka the only ones that never got released here) and I'm a fan of Rescue Rangers, because that game has tight controls and some wicked music.

Battleblock theater was fantastic, mercenary kings was basically Metal Slug/ Monster Hunter

But local co op is a dying sport anon, I'm thinking of setting up some kind of LAN here so we can play 2 player games without resorting to split screen only games. That's pretty much the only avenue I've not explored here. Any tips/suggestions anons?
