Mega Drive is a much better name, and the rest of the world agrees.

I pity you americans who had to do with a much inferior one.

Sup. /vr/, I'm in the UK and want to buy some old videogames, but I want the NTSC versions because fuck 50Hz.
Does anyone know what I need to play the American Genesis in the UK? Like, I remember something about a step down converter for the plug because of different electricity and I'd need a TV that could do 60Hz as well, how hard is it to get these things in the UK?

So what was the best of the West for the Genesis/Megadrive?

To make a start:
Sonic 2
Ecco games
Comix Zone
Flashback
Road Rash games
Cannon Fodder
Aladdin
The Lion King
Earthworm Jim games
Lemmings

You know what I'm talking about. Back in the 80s and 90s Sega had their own distinctive sound exemplified by the SMD/SCD/32X and arcade boards of the time with similar sound chips. Let's have a thread of the best of the best of this kind of music. I'll start with some Cosmic Carnage, one of my absolute favourite soundtracks, and one that deserves more love.

It can't just be me who prefers this electronic sound over the more realistic sounds offered by the SNES and the like.

Was the red button thing only in the UK or was it a Mega Drive II thing?
I had this one.
