Fanboys.

CV and RE0 they both contributed to the downfall of the series plotwise and had little quality in design.

For people saying TPS mechanics killed the series, they're good examples that a RE with classic style won't automatically make it a good game.

RE4, despite embracing its stupidity, still felt more serious overall.
The only fault of the game was maybe sending bad signals for whoever picked RE5 and RE6 afterwards. RE2 and RE3 before it already were too action focused as well.
