Of all of the great RPGs available on the SNES...

Which is your favourite, and why? Maybe also share which ones you've actually played.

I think mine is Final Fantasy III (VI).
It's tough to explain why.
I think the overall themes, story, and characters just... hit a sweet spot in me.
The music isn't even that great in my opinion (although it IS great), but the game just really touches me.

Good snes games, from overrated to underrated.

What's a reasonable price for a working American SNES? eBay (I presume this is where you're supposed to buy retro games) has a wide range of prices.

I want an SNES to play Chrono Trigger, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, FF6, and Super Metroid.

My SNES is occasionally having some sound issues where the audio just gets really distorted and I can also hear a hum when the game is silent. However, it doesn't happen all the time. Just rather frequently. =/

It must be internal because the sound issue occurs with both the RF and the A/V outputs. Anyone ever had these issues before? Am I screwed? I've never opened a SNES up before and don't even have the proper tools to do so. Is this an easy fix or should I just start looking for a new console?

Any way to power a US SNES in europe (not UK) without getting a step-down converter?

I never had one of these growing up, but familiar with the games.

Is it worth collecting in our year of 2015, or is just everything terribly overpriced and just stick to emulating on my Wii?

Where's the best place to get a used SNES and controllers? Haven't seen any in thrift stores and the ones I see online are $60+. Don't really care for the box or any manuals.

I want to try new games on SNES, but games that I never played. I like every kind of games, but FF's and crono trigger the most.

Hey guys, I'm going to be buying my daughter her first console, a SNES. She's turning 5, and I'm not sure what games to get her. I'm looking for simple, easy to control games with little reading required. I'm already getting Super Mario World, so any other suggestions would be wonderful.

Just found my SNES. Have not played anything on it for 10 fucking years need a few games to play, any reccomendations?

... i apparently bought these games back in the day, i need to restart my collection

Anybody know if a good tutorial for over clocking a SNES?

So I'm one of those 18 year old kids who have never had the older consoles. So my first retro console is going to be a SNES. I love Metroid but have never played Super Metroid and I'm not really into emulation so that is going to be my first buy. Besides that I have no idea what else to pick up. What are some must haves for the SNES? Games that should be in every library.
