I like Lunar 1 and 2 on Sega CD better than the remakes.
As far as the remakes go, Saturn > PS.

Lunar: The Silver Star and Eternal Blue are must play RPGs on the Sega CD, IMO better than the remakes. (or at least worth playing first).

I'd go for the original Sega CD version of both games.

If you like them, play the remakes on PS1/Saturn (not sure if Saturn is translated, probably not).

Lunar 2 is universally considered better on Sega CD.

And the best version of Lunar 2 is also on the Sega CD, you might want to have that into account.
