Every SotN-like Castlevania has these sprites that seem like they're moving underwater or something though. It's really weird. I'd like that explanation if it was just Alucard and it was to convey his otherworldliness but they're all like that, there's an incongruity between their animation and their movement. It's totally fair for a developer to say they'd want to avoid that when making a sprite
