There's some archaeology happening in the Japanese PC thread, though I'm mostly just flipping through obscure webpages to collect info on abandoned Windows 9x games. ShadowFlare's apparently a great Diablo-like developed by a Japanese dev, Denyusha, that got localized around the turn of the millennium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5trP9fiCBQ

It's certainly better remembered than other early Windows games from Japan, like Dark Eyes (UO-like MMORPG made by the developers of Time Crisis 3/4) or Yoshio Kiya's Die Gekirin series.

I'm trying to find more info on KSS' Radio Zone, a 3DCG first-person adventure game where you explore an irradiated region to complete goals within a time limit. It's just one of many titles that like to pop up on foreign auction sites, then giving me something to search for in Google. The pre-Windows Japanese PC games are documented rather well by comparison, as are Korean games thanks to Hardcore Gaming 101.
