I'd say this one... and yes, I know it's the Master System version, I really do prefer it, it's too fun. It's such a shame that the Game Gear port, due to its resolution and its changes to the 1st boss gave this version such a bad reputation overall...

It was the first Sonic game to change up the formula a tad.
The difficulty's just right.
The hangglider was early on so casuals got filtered out fast leaving the best game in the series to us patricians.

This feels like by far the worst classic sonic game, the difficulty is full of levels that are either braindead easy or really hard and the levels aren’t interesting.
