I'm a sucker for that kind of cover where the characters are looking into the distance. Square did it with a few games and every single time it makes me want to play. I'm sure there's some marketing research that points to people being more drawn to generic close up shots of a guy's face but I was always way more drawn to stuff like this.

Woke up this morning and just thought what the fuck happened? Every old game I played was so much fun. It wasn't because I was young or because life was easier (it wasn't). It was because the games were actually good. Actually hard. Actually requires effort. Actually had effort put into them.
I'm 29. Maybe the oldest game I played was made in 88 but most of them were from 91-94 that I really liked. Some from 94-98.
I just realised I'm going to play everything I loved as a kid all over again and completely dodge modern games. I'm so done with the shit that passes for games now. I'm going to finish some of the old games I never did because they were too hard for 9 year old me.
Fuck I can't wait to play Azure Dreams again.
