How would you fix chrono cross story? Given that you can work with the assets already present in the game

-The action must stay in El Nido and you cannot create new locations
-You cannot bring back old characters, except Magus, but only because Magil is here.

Go crazy. How do you do it?

I just beat their game. What is the general consensus on it? I feel really mixed on the whole thing. Some moments were genuinely incredible and the music is perfect but it feels so hammered down for how aimless everything is. Nothing felt “cohesive” and so much of the plot is just outright told at the end instead of showing it throughout the game. The plot isn’t even that complicated but it’s told in such and unorthodox way that it’s borderline incomprehensible. Kid was pretty cool and cute tho.
